Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Educational practice on the basics of field work natural and geographical studies. Part 6. Biogeographic studies", "Fundamentals of biogeography"". 2. Know the concepts of ecosystem and landscape, describe their components and properties. 3. Be able to give a comprehensive physical and geographical description of the territory, carry out the selection and critical analysis of informational and cartographic data data sources; 4. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to use them apply in production and research activities; be able characterize objects and processes using these methods.
Course content
An integral discipline that prepares future specialists for specific practical-oriented activities in the industry development of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine, development of the national ecological network and its integration into the European network. These tasks are extraordinary relevant for our country in view of the desire to join the European Union community, which requires thorough training of specialists in various fields, including including the nature protection sphere. Therefore, this discipline focuses on international standards and approaches in the field of nature conservation activities that is reflected in the thematic structure of lectures and practical classes.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes, assessment.
Assessment methods and criteria
The survey in test and written form is conducted after the completion of the teaching of each topic. Practical work is defended by performance, in accordance with the schedule of practical classes. Modular control works (MCR) are conducted in test form. Students who received less than the minimum prescribed number of points for the MKR will retake it. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the credit. The final evaluation in the form of credit is conducted in written format. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24
