R01. To know, understand and be able to use in practice the basic concepts of the theory of geography, as well as worldview sciences.
R05. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of geographical sciences.
R08. Apply models and methods of physics, chemistry, geology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc. when studying natural and social processes of formation and development of geospheres.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Landscape Science", "Relief and Geological Structure of Ukraine", "Climate of Ukraine", "Biogeography of Ukraine", "Soils of Ukraine", "Surface Waters of Ukraine", "Educational practice on methods of processing geographic information". 2. To be able to analyze the features of the interaction of the components of the geographical envelope with each other and its features on the territory of Ukraine, to be able to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the natural environment based on the concept of the geographical landscape; 3. Know the main laws of evolution, territorial distribution, dynamic changes of landscapes on the territory of Ukraine.
Course content
The educational discipline "Landscapes of Ukraine" is devoted to the study of the natural environment of Ukraine as a complete system with complex territorial organization and long-term evolution. The discipline is focused on the generalization and synthesis of knowledge from the geological structure, relief, soils, climate, plant and animal cover of the territory of Ukraine into a holistic representation represented by the landscape concept. The discipline is aimed at the formation of special professional, social and personal competencies in students, the accumulation of knowledge about the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of natural geography, especially - in the context of natural conditions and resources of the territory of Ukraine, the most important components of the discipline are: mastering the theoretical foundations, basic concepts and methodology of landscape geography in their application to the landscapes of Ukraine; study of external factors of formation of landscapes of Ukraine and regional landscape structures (tectonic, climatic, location, etc.); assimilation of the main regularities of the evolution of Ukrainian landscapes from the Neogene to the Holocene inclusively; elucidation of the essence, mechanisms of formation, territorial differences of the main regional landscape structures of the territory of Ukraine (zonal, provincial, altitudinal stratification, basin).

Assessment methods and criteria
Survey in test form, evaluation of completed practical works, MKW, exam. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam.
The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24
