Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:-safety techniques for hydrometric work on water bodies and operation of devices, watercraft;-theoretical provisions of the "Hydrometry" course;-physical and geographical conditions of the formation of river water flow, water phase and features of the hydrological regime;-hydrological posts, their types, grades, organization;-the main types of hydrometric measurements and works on water objects and devices, equipment, devices for their implementation; - methods, procedure for carrying out and processing materials of field hydrometric measurements and observations. Be able to:-apply the rules that ensure the safety of observations and work on water objects, take safety measures in emergency situations, in case of violation of requirements for devices, devices and their operating conditions; - to provide the physical and geographical characteristics of the Ros River basin and the peculiarities of its water regime;-conduct a reconnaissance survey of the river section,
Course content
The purpose of the educational field practice is to familiarize students with various water bodies (streams and reservoirs), the structure of the hydrographic network, to consolidate and deepen the knowledge gained during the theoretical course "Hydrometry", and to acquire practical skills in working on different water bodies using hydrometric instruments, as well as learning the methodologies for conducting hydrometeorological observations, processing measurements in the lab, getting acquainted with the automation of the hydrological network and automated data processing, and conducting regular hydrometeorological observations.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, field work, stationary observation, chamber work, practice report, survey, differentiated assessment.
Assessment methods and criteria
- current assessment: the number of points received by the student during the internship is the sum of the points received during the assessment: 1) oral answers and practical tasks during the routes; 2) keeping a field diary; 3) participation in the preparation and execution of the report. - The final evaluation in the form of a test takes place in the form of a defense of the final report. The maximum number of points received at the test is 40 points, the minimum number of points added to the current ones is 27 points. - conditions for admission to the test: students who have scored a total of less points than the critical minimum of 20 points are not allowed to take the test. The recommended minimum for admission is 33 points.
