Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must 1. Know: basic concepts, facts and theorems of linear and vector algebra, analytical geometry, mathematical analysis and differential calculus. 2. Be able to: actively use and creatively apply the above knowledge in the process of mastering the material of the "Higher Mathematics" course. 3. Possess elementary skills: operate with matrices and calculate determinants, solve systems of algebraic equations, find limits sequences and functions, calculate the derivative and integral.
Course content
The educational discipline "Higher mathematics" is a component of educational and professional specialist training programs at the "bachelor" level of the field of knowledge 10 "Natural Sciences" from the specialty 103 "Earth Sciences" of the educational and professional programs "Meteorology". This discipline is mandatory. Discipline "Higher mathematics" studies the basics of linear and vector algebra, analytical geometry, limits of sequences and functions, differential calculus of functions of the same and of many variables, integral calculus, theory of ordinary differential equations and systems of ordinary differential equations, elements of probability theory and of mathematical statistics.
