Learning outcomes
The tasks are to form in students a system of knowledge about the historical and modern territorial features of interactions in the nature-human system and conceptual approaches to identifying and analyzing changes in geospheres in the Anthropocene era, namely: to search for and process information about changes in geospheres in the Anthropocene era, the state and prospects of environmental and social challenges at the country level and in the global context; to analyze changes in geospheres, the state and prospects of environmental and social challenges at the country level and in the global context using quantitative and qualitative methods in the study of geosystems and processes in them; to apply the integrative function of geographical knowledge to the analysis of the interconnectedness and interdependence of global problems of humanity at different spatial and temporal scales.

1) successful mastering of courses in regional geography of the countries of the Global North and the Global South, “Geography of Population and Settlement”, “Urban Geography”, “Geography of the World Economy” 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of geographical geography, social, economic, social, political geography; 3) understanding the possibilities of applying mathematical-statistical, cartographic, GIS and methods of geographical and political-geographical, socio-political research to the analysis of the features of natural and social processes in the geographical envelo
Course content
The conceptual principles of spatiotemporal transformations of human-nature interaction, regional studies in the context of global problems of humanity and problematic regional studies are outlined; the essential aspects of changes in geospheres in the Anthropocene era, the concept of planetary boundaries, dimensions, including geographical ones, of environmental problems caused by anthropogenic impact, social challenges, the interconnectedness and interdependence of global problems of humanity at various spatiotemporal scales are highlighted; the problems of ecosystem viability, ecological health and social equality, structural problems of economic development of the country and on a global scale are analyzed; the principles of implementing the sustainability imperative in managing the regional development of the country and at the global level are revealed.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with a test. During the semester, thematic tests are held in the form of tests after completing the consideration of the relevant topics. The acquisition of knowledge and skills by students is also assessed during presentations at seminars, surveys, and participation in discussions. For students who have not scored the minimum number of points during the semester (20 points), a final semester test is held with a maximum number of points - 40. Before the start of the examination session, students must complete all seminar classes. The final assessment is carried out in the form of a test. The maximum number of points on the test is 40, the minimum number of points added to the semester ones is 24 points.
