The tasks are to develop practical skills in identifying, formulating and solving problems of the regional economy and managing regional development using techniques and methods of disseminating geographic information based on the use of information technologies, acquiring the ability to use information technologies in disseminating geographic information; individual and group work on preparing for the dissemination and dissemination of geographic information; collecting, registering and analyzing data using media screening.

Full-time form

1) Successful completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Social Geography", "Economic Geography", "Geography of Population and Settlement", "Mathematical and Statistical Methods in Geography" and passing the "Teaching Practice on the Fundamentals of Field Economic and Geographical Research" and "Teaching Practice on Methods of Obtaining Geographic Information", "Teaching Practice on Methods of Processing Geographic Information". 2) Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social geography, location of production, population settlement, general principles of conducting scientific research, sources of geographical information, basic mathematical and statistical methods of geographical research. 3) Possession of skills in working with computer programs MS Word, MS Excel, software for using the Internet, as well as the ability to perform basic mathematical and statistical calculations.

Students, while completing the educational task, conduct research on socio-geographic processes and phenomena, which is aimed at improving practical skills related to the systematization of information, its processing, calculations, presentation and dissemination of research results. Educational tasks are aimed at practicing methods for disseminating geographical information and research results through various means and information channels.

Tutorials, practical assignments, group and individual consultations

During the training practice, 5 educational tasks are to be completed. Classes are held in the form of practical work, as well as independent work. The discipline ends with a differentiated test. During the training practice, group and individual consultations are held and the students' performance of practical tasks is checked on an ongoing basis. During the study of the educational discipline, systematic weekly interim reporting is carried out. The acquisition of knowledge and skills by students is also assessed during the verification and defense of the final report. The final assessment is carried out in the form of a differentiated test, at which students defend their written reports.

In Ukrainian
