Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes consist in providing students with general and professional competencies provided for by the educational program "Economic Geography", in particular: the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations; knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity; the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; the ability to exercise one's rights and obligations as a member of society, to realize the values of a civil (free democratic) society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in Ukraine; the ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on an understanding of the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, technology and engineering.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses "Social Geography", "Economic Geography"; knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social geography, theories and concepts of population distribution, production. Possession of skills in working with cartographic sources, computer programs MS Word, MS Excel.
Course content
The academic discipline "Geography of Industry" is a component of the educational and scientific program "Economic Geography" for training specialists at the educational level "bachelor" in the field of knowledge 10 Natural Sciences in the specialty 106 Geography. This academic discipline is dedicated to the study of the essence, laws and principles of industrial geography, objective and specific features of the territorial organization of industrial production in accordance with the natural and socio-economic conditions of individual regions. The study of the main methods of researching industrial geography, analyzing production relations and the structure of industrial production. This discipline also provides for the study of the features of the location and territorial organization of industries.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 substantive parts. During the semester, thematic tests are conducted in the form of tests after completing the consideration of the relevant topics. The acquisition of knowledge and skills by students is also assessed during presentations at seminars, surveys, and participation in discussions. During the semester, current control of students in the discipline is carried out during seminar classes and is aimed at checking the level of knowledge acquisition and completion of course work. Based on the assessments of current control and the results of thematic tests, the sum of points for a separate substantive part is set. For each substantive part, a student can receive up to 20 points (of which up to 10 points - based on the result s of current control and a maximum of 10 points - based on the results of thematic test work). For writing and defending a course work, a student can receive up to 20 points total 60 points.
