Learning outcomes
Know the historical-geographical, socio-geographical, natural-resource and other aspects of the interaction between man and nature; know and understand the socio-geographical essence of the PRP of the territory/water area; be able to process and analyze information from various sources; establish the role and place of Ukraine in the modern world in the context of geographical factors of its development, analyze and explain the composition and structure of geospheres, features of the geospatial organization of nature, population and economy of Ukraine at different spatial and temporal scales, understand and explain the strategy of its sustainable development; carry out a systemic and structural analysis of the PRP of the territory of Ukraine based on knowledge of its component, functional, territorial and organizational structure; reveal the content of ecosystem services and apply methods for their assessment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of the disciplines "Human geography", "Mathematical and statistical methods in geography", "Economic geography", "Geography of population and settlement", "Geographic cartography". 2. Know the basic principles of the structure and component composition of geosystems, be able to apply basic knowledge of related disciplines (physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc.). 3. Know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, be able to apply them in production and research activities; be able to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the features of natural and social processes in the geographical envelope.
Course content
This discipline lays the foundation for knowledge of the problems of nature management and natural resource management. It highlights the issues of knowledge and understanding of the laws, patterns of existence of natural and geographical systems, the geography of natural and resource complexes, the historical and geographical dimension of the relationship between Man and Nature, the significance of geographical centers of environmental stabilization and destabilization, reveals the essence, structure and significance of the PRP as a natural and social category, analyzes the component composition of natural conditions and resources of Ukraine and offers the basis for their ecological and economic assessment.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical work, independent work, presentations, creative analytical and computational work.
Total volume 120 hours, including:
Lectures - 30 hours.
Practical classes - 30 hours.
Independent work - 60 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 substantive parts. The substantive part 1 includes topics: 1 - 4. The substantive part 2 - topics 5 - 9. Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. The discipline ends with a test. The specific weight of learning outcomes in the final assessment, provided that they are mastered at the appropriate level, is as follows: learning outcomes - 1.1 - 1.9 (knowledge) - up to 7% for each; learning outcomes - 2 (skills RN 2.1-2.6) - up to 10%; learning outcomes - 3 (communication) - up to 7%. learning outcomes - 4.1-4.2 (autonomy and responsibility) - up to 10% for each.
