Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes consist in providing students with general and professional competencies provided for by the educational program "Economic Geography", namely: knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity; the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; the ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on an understanding of the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, technology and engineering, to use various types and forms of physical activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle; the ability to apply knowledge and understanding of the basic characteristics, processes, history and composition of nature and society.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Successful completion of the courses "Social Geography" and "Economic Geography";
2) Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social geography, theories and concepts of population distribution, production;
3) mastery of methods of analysis and synthesis of geographic information, comparative geographical analysis, grouping and typing;
4) mastery of skills in working with cartographic sources, computer programs MS Word, MS Excel.
Course content
The academic discipline "Geography of Agriculture and Food" is a component of the educational and professional program "Economic Geography" for training specialists at the educational and qualification level "bachelor" in the field of knowledge "Natural Sciences" in specialty 106 "Geography". This academic discipline is dedicated to the study of the essence and features of the territorial organization of agriculture, the analysis of factors of location and development of agricultural industries, the socio-geographical study of agribusiness in Ukraine.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 substantive parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. During the semester, after completing the relevant topics, two written thematic tests and a final test in the form of an exam are held. Conditions for admission to the exam: the recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points. For students who have not scored the minimum number of points (36 points) during the semester, in order to obtain admission to the exam, they perform an additional independent task (writing an essay). Before the start of the examination session, students must complete all seminar classes. The discipline ends with an exam. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated to the exam).
