Learning outcomes
The objectives of the discipline are to provide students with general and professional competencies provided for by the educational program "Economic Geography", in particular: knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity, mastering the skills of using information and communication technologies (ZK5), the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations when compiling maps of socio-geographical topics; the ability to conduct research at the appropriate level (ZK6); the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources when compiling maps of socio-geographical topics; the ability to work autonomously when compiling maps; the ability to apply knowledge and understanding of the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of nature and society.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of the disciplines "Social Geography", "Introduction to University Studies", "Cartography with Basics of Topography";
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social geography, cartography, urban planning;
3. Possession of elementary skills in compiling electronic maps, developing and using GIS.
Course content
A description of the basic principles, means, methods and techniques for compiling and using maps of socio-geographical subjects is provided, which provide analysis and synthesis of knowledge regarding the spatial organization of data and information and the territorial organization of society in terms of the following main issues: tools for compiling and using cartographic works of socio-geographical subjects; content, indicators of sectoral and synthetic socio-geographical cartographic works; application of cartographic works of socio-geographical subjects.

Assessment methods and criteria
The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of writing written tests, performing practical work, and passing the test. The specific weight of learning outcomes in the final assessment: learning outcomes – 1.1 – 1.12 (knowledge) – up to 4% for each (for 1.2. – up to 6%); learning outcomes – 2.1-2.6 (skills) – up to 30%; learning outcomes – 3 (communication) – up to 20%;
The course provides for 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. Thematic written tests are held throughout the semester. The final assessment is in the form of a test, which is issued based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures for successful students. For students who have not reached the minimum grade point average of 60 points during the semester, a final semester test (test tasks) is conducted, the maximum score for which cannot exceed 25 points.
