Providing students with general and professional competencies, including: the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations; the ability to communicate in the state language both orally and in writing; the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; the ability to apply knowledge and understanding of the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of nature and society; the ability to analyze the composition and structure of geospheres (in accordance with specialization) at different spatial and temporal scales; the ability to identify and classify known and register new objects in the geographical envelope, their properties and processes inherent in them.

Distance form

Successful mastery of the disciplines “Social Geography”, “Geographical Country and Local History”, “Behavioral Geography”, “Cartography with the basics of topography” from the list of the elective block “Management of Tourism and Recreation Development” - courses “Geography of Recreational Resources”, “Methods of Recreational and Geographical Research”, etc. Knowledge and understanding of the basic spatial and temporal patterns of the structure of the geographical shell, and the scale of its perception for orientation in geographical space. Knowledge of the basic provisions of tourism and geographical research in various fields.

The discipline is devoted to the study of theoretical and methodological aspects of the spatial and temporal organization of travel, tourism and excursions. In particular, the formation of systematized and generalized knowledge about tourism as a complex phenomenon, the formation of an idea of the world tourist space, analysis of general trends in its formation and development; formation of a basic level of knowledge about the theoretical and methodological basis and methods of tourism and geographical research, conditions and factors of development of the world tourism market and the formation of tourism specialization of countries, geospatial patterns of distribution of various forms and types of tourism, as well as basic knowledge of the theory of excursion activity and organizing. When studying the discipline, special attention is paid to the formation of important professional competencies of a specialist - Travel (Excursion) Organizer.

Lectures, seminars, independent work Total volume 150 hours: Lectures – 28 hours Seminars – 28 hours Independent work – 94 hours (including coursework – 20 hours)

Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with an exam. Semester assessment: the number of points that a student receives during the semester is the sum of the points that were received when evaluating oral presentations at seminar classes, independent work and defense of the course work on the discipline. Organization of assessment: work at seminar classes is assessed upon completion, in accordance with the schedule of seminar classes. Independent work is presented in accordance with the schedule set by the teacher. Defense of the course work is carried out by means of an oral presentation. Learning outcomes, provided that they are mastered at the appropriate level, are assessed as follows: 1. Reports and discussions at seminars - from 16 to 20 points. 2. Independent work - from 9 to 20 points. 3. Course work on the discipline - from 11 to 20 points.
