To form knowledge of the development of the socio-geographical complex of Ukraine in certain historical sections and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice; to form the ability to search, process and analyze historical and geographical information from various sources; to form the ability to preserve and enhance the moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of Ukrainian society based on an understanding of the history and patterns of its development; ability to apply knowledge and understanding of the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of nature and societies

Successful mastery of the discipline “Social Geography”; 2. knowledge of theories and concepts of historical development of society; 3. possession of basic skills of analyzing historical development, reconciling temporal and spatial development.

The methodological approaches and criteria for the allocation of historical and geographical sections of socio-geographical development are proposed. The characteristics of the peculiarities of socio-geographical development of the territory on certain historical and geographical sections are given. The principles of historical and geographical analysis and synthesis of knowledge about the development of society are revealed. The necessity of mutually coordinated study of changes in nature and society in a certain territory in a cross-cutting time perspective, knowledge of the peculiarities of functioning of objects of socio-geographical research by identifying genetic series of development of socio-geographical components of the territory is determined. A comprehensive analysis of nature, population, economy, and their interaction in a particular territory over a certain period is carried out.

Lecture, seminar, discussion, individual work The total amount of 120 hours, including: lectures - 28 hours. seminars - 28 hours Consultation - 2 hours. independent work - 62 hours.

The course has 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The course ends with an exam. Semester evaluation: the number of points a student receives during the semester is the sum of the points received during the evaluation of work in seminars and the performance of thematic tests. Organization of evaluation: Work in seminars is evaluated by performance, in accordance with the schedule of seminars. Thematic tests are conducted in a test form.
