Learning outcomes
Identify the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the Earth as a as a planetary system and its geospheres (PLO 06). Analyze the composition and structure of of geospheres (according to specialization) at different spatial and temporal scales (PLO 10). Know and apply theories, paradigms, concepts and principles in the earth sciences in accordance with the specialization (PLO 12). To know the properties and patterns of interaction components of the climate system Earth, patterns of of climate formation and change (PLO 17)

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. successful mastering of the discipline "Meteorology"; 2. knowledge of the theoretical foundations of atmospheric processes and phenomena.
Course content
The academic discipline "Climatology" is one of the components of the comprehensive training of the specialty "Earth Sciences" under the program "Meteorology". In the process of studying discipline, the main climate-forming factors and processes are considered; climate system and interrelations between its individual components; the main features of the thermal regime, moisture circulation and general atmospheric circulation; global fields of meteorological variables; basics of climate classification and regionalization; geographical types of climates; main types of of microclimates.
