Course content
"Hydrology is dedicated to the study of
general regularities of processes in the hydrosphere, interconnectedness of
hydrosphere with the atmosphere, lithosphere; global water cycle on Earth;
basic laws of physical and geographical distribution of water bodies
watercourses (rivers, groundwater), reservoirs (lakes, swamps, seas and oceans) and
glaciers and their reserves; sources of water bodies and their water and
hydrological regime, and also pays attention to students of meteorology
consideration and development of basic instruments and means of hydrometric
observations and methods of hydrological research on water bodies.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 content parts.
Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. The course ends with
with an exam.
Semester assessment is based on a module-rating system.
system. The number of points a student receives during the semesters is the sum of
points received during the evaluation of practical work,
surveys, and module tests.
Organization of assessment: test and written surveys
is conducted after the completion of each topic. Practical
works are defended upon completion, in accordance with the schedule of
practical classes.
Module control works (MCW) are conducted in test form.
Students who have received less than the minimum number of points for the MCP
points, retake it.
