The content of the discipline covers issues of various subject areas of modern geology: general, dynamic and historical geology. The structure of the discipline includes three content modules. Module 1 reveals the importance of geophysical characteristics of the Earth in the development and functioning of the geographical the development and functioning of the geographical shell, introduces modern models of the structure of the globe and lithosphere, their and their material composition. Special attention is paid to theoretical and practical issues of diagnosing minerals and rocks. Module 2 is devoted to the study of processes of external and internal geodynamics, their connection with physical and geographical conditions and structures of the Earth's crust. Module 3 is devoted to the study of historical geology: scientific principles of Earth periodization, methods of reconstructing the history of its development; the main geostructures of the Earth's crust and features of their evolution.
