Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Fundamental physical laws, their origin and limits of application. To understand the mechanisms of development of physics as a science. 2. To use fundamental physical theories together with the possibilities of mathematical analysis as a real basis for further professional specialization.
Course content
The special discipline "Physics" is a part of the cycle of professionally oriented disciplines of professional training of specialists at the educational qualification level "Bachelor". It is basic for a number of specializations of the Faculty of Geography.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. The course ends with a test. Semester assessment: the number of points a student receives during the semester is the sum of points received during the evaluation of practical work, surveys and completion of module tests. Organization of assessment: a survey in test and written form is conducted after completion of each topic. Practical work is defended upon completion, in accordance with the schedule of practical classes. Module control works (MCW) are conducted in test form. Students who have received less than the minimum required number of points for an MCP, retake it.
