Learning outcomes
PRN 18. Apply basic conceptual, terminological, conceptual apparatus geography, which allows interpretation natural-geographical and social-geographical phenomena and processes, to connect and to compare different views on problematic issues of modern geography. PRN 23. To select interdisciplinary connections of geography courses in basic high school with the goal formation of students' natural and scientific competence in accordance with the requirements State standard of general secondary education in the educational field "Natural Science"; PRN 31. Use methods and data of natural/social sciences, information technologies, cartographic and geoinformation models in the fields of the subject area of geographical sciences

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of the courses "Social Geography", "Geographical Local History and country studies" and passing "Educational practice on the basics of field economics of geographical research". 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social geography, location of production, general principles of scientific research 3) mastery of the deductive method of proving and refuting statements, logical skills think, build algorithms for solving typical problems. 4) knowledge of computer programs MS Word, MS Excel, software provision for using the Internet, conducting simple math tests calculations
Course content
General ideas about mathematical and statistical methods of research, levels are taught mathematization of geography, stages of development of mathematical and statistical methods in geographic research The content and features of the calculation are revealed most often used values: average arithmetic, quadratic, geometric and harmonic, as well as variation indicators, series of dynamics. Features are outlined the use of methods of statistical grouping and correlation in geographical research analysis, as well as a selective method.
