Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the course "Geography", "Mathematics", "Topography". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the sciences, which contribute to a deeper understanding properties of the Earth's physical surface, its correct display on maps. 3. Have elementary mathematical analysis skills and skills solving tasks with a general geographic map.
Course content
Cartography is one of the introductory disciplines studied students of geographical faculties of universities. It provides an introduction to the subject cartography, cartography structures, map properties as a model of the real world, classification of cartographic works, map elements. Mathematical questions are considered basics of cartographic works, including scales, map projections, distortions cartographic image, classification of cartographic projections and their main properties, projections for world territories, hemispheres, continents, oceans and states. Questions are revealed geographical features of cartographic generalization on maps;
