Learning outcomes
(PR-1); convey information, ideas, problems, solutions, own experience and arguments to specialists and non-specialists (PR-3); to know and apply in professional activity regulatory and legal acts, regulatory and technical documents, reference materials in the field of geodesy and land management and related fields ((PR-5); to know the history and peculiarities of the development of geodesy and land management, their place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society (PR-6); carry out surveys and research, topographic-geodetic, cartographic, design and project-research work when performing professional tasks in geodesy and land management (PR-8); collect, evaluate, interpret and use geospatial data, metadata regarding objects of natural and man-made origin, apply statistical methods of their analysis to solve specialized problems in the field of geodesy and land management, etc.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students who have fulfilled all the requirements of the curriculum and completed the coursework independently are allowed to defend the bachelor’s coursework (authorization of the scientific supervisor, which is placed on the title page of the work with an indication of the date and approved by the signature). Coursework should not contain academic plagiarism, fabrication and falsification. The course work is defended in public at a commission meeting.
Course content
A coursework is an independent, educational and scientific study of a student. In the process of writing a work under the guidance of teachers of the department, students master the methods and skills of conducting educational and scientific research. The successful conduct of educational and scientific research and the writing of term papers depends on clear compliance with the basic requirements relating to them. These requirements primarily concern the scientific level of works, their content, structure, form of presentation of the material, as well as their design. Course topics are offered in accordance with the scientific topics of the department, taking into account the scientific interests of students and the content of the OPP "Geodesy and Land Management", which is the subject of the study.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
It is not allowed to complete a bachelor's coursework without prior agreement of the topic with the academic supervisor and its approval at the department meeting.
Assessment methods and criteria
The defense of the work takes place at an open meeting of the commission in the presence of the scientific supervisor of the work. Protection procedure: 1. Student speech (5-7 minutes) with a presentation. 2. Student's answers to questions. 3. Leader's speech. 4. Evaluation of the coursework. All components of the defense are evaluated: • completeness of presentation of research results in the report; • level of reliability of the results; • the level of practical value of the results; • level of knowledge; • skill level; • level of communication; • level of autonomy and responsibility; • mastery of the research topic when answering members' questions commissions; • the manager determines the degree of work readiness, compliance with its requirements and recommends admission to the defense. The final grade is given according to point and national scales.
