Course content
The discipline "Behavioral Genetics with the Basics of Psychophysiology" is a component of the educational program of professional training of specialists of the educational level "Master", a block of free choice of the student. Methods of behavioral genetics and psychophysiology can be used both in related sciences and in interdisciplinary research. The discipline covers the issues of epigenetic processes that occur at all stages of the formation and development of living organisms. In addition, the discipline is designed to summarize the student's understanding of the genetic basis of intelligence and behavior, the causes of individual variability in the manifestations of intelligence and behavioral characteristics, the mechanisms of the most common intellectual disabilities and types of deviant behavior, the mechanisms and genetic basis of the formation of dependence on psychostimulants.
