PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and at the boundaries of subject areas. PR08. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms. PLO10. To establish the laws of interaction of living organisms of different forms of structural organization with each other, the peculiarities of the influence of various factors on living organisms. PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of organization. PR 17. To master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problematic problems of biology through self-study. PR 23.6. Organize zoological research. PR25.6. Conduct a systematic analysis of the diversity of the animal world based on an understanding of the mechanisms.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of the disciplines "Zoology", "Theory of Evolution", "Ecology and Nature Conservation". 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of general zoology, theory of evolution, animal ecology and other disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of elementary skills of system analysis.
Course content
The academic discipline "Parasitology" is a component of the program of professional training of specialists of the educational level "Bachelor" in the educational program "Biology". "Parasitology" is a discipline of the student's free choice, which covers a wide range of issues related to the diversity, peculiarities of biology and ecology, the formation of adaptations to the parasitic way of life, the practical importance of unicellular and multicellular animals - parasites of humans and animals, and also outlines the range of methods, methodological approaches and analysis algorithms that can be used in setting up experiments in related sciences and within interdisciplinary projects and that require in-depth knowledge of parasitology.
