Learning outcomes
Collect information about the general condition of the patient, assess the psychomotor and physical development of the patient, the state of organs and systems of the body, based on the results of laboratory and instrumental studies to assess information about the diagnosis (according to list 4). Assign and analyze additional (mandatory and optional) methods of examination (laboratory, radiological, functional and / or instrumental) according to list 4, patients with diseases of organs and systems of the body for differential diagnosis of diseases (list 2). Determine the nature and principles of treatment of patients (conservative, operative) with diseases (according to list 2).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the disciplines "Human Anatomy", "Histology, Cytology and Embryology", "Physiology", "Pathomorphology", "Pathophysiology", "Pharmacology", "Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine". Ability to independently apply knowledge of human physiology and anatomy, histology of cytology and embryology, medical biology, etc. academic disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis.
Course content
"General surgery" with the obligatory discipline, during the study of which students acquire basic theoretical knowledge on the organization of surgical care, desmurgia, organization of sanitary and epidemiological regime in the surgical clinic, bleeding and its stopping, transfusiology, anesthesiology and resuscitation, various lesions, surgical infection, transplantology, oncology, surgical examination, patient care, etc. Assimilation of theoretical material is accompanied by the acquisition of appropriate integral, general and professional competencies. The program of the discipline is structured into 2 sections: 1. Introduction to surgery. Desmurgia. Fundamentals of sanitary-epidemic regime in a surgical clinic. Urgent surgical conditions. Fundamentals of transfusiology, anesthesiology and resuscitation. 2. Surgical infection. Purulent-necrotic practice in surgical practice. Fundamentals of transplantology and clinical oncology. Methods of examination of surgical patients.
