Demonstrate the deepening of basic knowledge through self-education, demonstrate the ability to present and evaluate their own experience and analyze and apply the experience of colleagues, demonstrate the ability to share experiences with other professionals. Provide counseling related to professional activities. Comply with the requirements of job descriptions, self-improvement. Perform and use laboratory research techniques to diagnose diseases, determine the characteristics of severity, period and duration of the disease, prognosis, control of treatment and its results. Take measures to organize, integrate laboratory care and marketing of laboratory services. Coordinate, modify and combine different research methods in order to perform typical and atypical professional tasks.

1. Successful mastering of disciplines "Virology", "Virology with virological diagnostics", "Epidemiology". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of general virology, microbiology, immunology, etc. academic disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems, work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Have basic skills in developing recommendations for the prevention and control of this disease, the formation of a forecast of the spread of the disease under study.

The course is a free choice of the student (choice of blocks) in the specialization "Laboratory Diagnostics" highlights the system of skills on the basis of the study of the causes, conditions and mechanisms of the disease. The discipline teaches to determine the components of epidemiological surveillance; indicators of the state of health of the population, their origin, the role in the formation of effective policy of the public health system. The discipline is designed to know the basics of epidemiology, methods and tools of epidemiological research; epidemiological bases of socially significant non-communicable diseases and socially dangerous infectious diseases, features in Ukraine and the world.
