A mandatory discipline that covers issues of microscopic structure of human body organs. Histology studies the tissues and the cells, from which tissue is composed, the structure of organs and systems of organs of the body. According to this the following sections of the subject: cytology (science of the cell); general histology, or common histology (studying tissue); special histology (studying the structure of organs and their systems) are developed. The science of prenatal development of organism – embryology is also closely related to histology, because embryology studies the process of their origin and development. Embryology, as well as cytology, is now separated from histology and is an independent science, but in the course of the medical school they are united in one discipline along with histology.
