Learning outcomes
PR02. To be able to use conceptual ecological regularities in professional activities. PR05. Demonstrate the ability to organize collective activities and implement complex environmental protection projects, taking into account available resources and time constraints. PR08. Be able to clearly and unambiguously convey professional knowledge, own justifications and conclusions to specialists and the general public. PR11. Be able to use modern information resources on ecology, nature management and environmental protection. PR17. Critically interpret knowledge from various subject areas to solve theoretical problems and problems.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: about global and local threats to the environment and ways to eliminate them; laws of ecology; basics of environmental legislation of Ukraine; international and domestic environmental protection organizations and the essence of their activities. 2. Be able to: find information on nature protection from open sources. 3. Possess elementary skills: analysis of quality and reliability, compliance with scientific criteria of information about the state of the environment posted in the media.
Course content
Valuable attitude to nature and ecological culture formed on its basis are mandatory conditions for balanced (sustainable) development of society. An important component of sustainable development is ecological and educational activity, which contains elements of both upbringing and education, but at the same time, is an independent link in the system of formation of ecological culture. Environmental and educational activities are carried out by informing about the state of the environment and spreading knowledge about environmental safety, the use of natural resources, including by state authorities, local governments, public associations, mass media, museums, libraries, cultural institutions, environmental protection institutions, sports and tourism organizations, other legal entities.
