Learning outcomes
PR01. Know and understand the fundamental and applied aspects of environmental sciences. PR02. Be able to use conceptual environmental patterns in professional activities. PR03. Know at the level of the latest achievements the basic concepts of natural science, sustainable development and methodology of scientific knowledge. PR05. Demonstrate the ability to organize collective activities and implement comprehensive environmental projects, taking into account available resources and time constraints. PR06. Know the latest methods and tools of environmental research, including methods and tools of mathematical and geoinformation modeling. PR08. Be able to communicate clearly and unambiguously professional knowledge, own justifications and conclusions to specialists and the general public. PR11. Be able to use modern information resources on ecology, nature management and environmental protection.

Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of professional environmental disciplines.
Course content
The curriculum consists of three content modules and reveals the content of concepts "Methodology", "methodology", "research methods", provides an understanding of science as research, considers specific scientific, general scientific and philosophical levels of methodology. The set of methodological systems of modern philosophy of science is outlined. The structure of theoretical and empirical knowledge in unity with the methods of theoretical and empirical research is considered. Methodological problems of nonlinear science, which determine the state of modern methodology of science, are covered. The course also considers the basic principles of organization of scientific research, conducting a biological experiment. The role of intellectual property as intellectual capital in the socio-economic development of society and it is revealed place in the humanities and natural sciences.
