Learning outcomes
PR06 Know the latest methods and tools of environmental research, including methods and tools of mathematical and geoinformation
PRO8. Be able to communicate clearly and unambiguously professional knowledge, own justifications and conclusions to specialists and the general public.
PR11 Be able to use modern information resources on ecology, nature management and environmental protection
PR14. Apply new approaches to developing decision-making strategies in difficult unpredictable conditions.
PR18 Ability to use modern processing methods and
interpretation of information in conducting environmental research
PR20. Have the basics of environmental research and environmental expert assessment of environmental impact.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know - the basics of reflection and study of spatial location and relationships of natural and social phenomena.
2. Be able to - analyze and interpret the results of environmental research.
3. Have basic skills - work with reference books, work with PC.
Course content
Teaching of this discipline is aimed at theoretical and practical mastering by students of modern GIS research methodology, which includes obtaining data during field research, analysis of available information of Internet resources, data obtained using CP5 navigation and available data from Remote Sensing. Much attention is paid to the formation of the graduate's skills of practical work with GIS technologies.
