Learning outcomes
PR03. Understand the basic concepts, theoretical and practical problems in the field of natural sciences, necessary for analysis and decision-making in the field ecology, environmental protection and optimal nature management. PR08. Be able to search for information using appropriate sources for acceptance sound decisions. PR10. Be able to use software, GIS technologies and Internet resources for information support of environmental research. PR21. Be able to choose the best methods and tools for research, data collection and processing.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Pre-master the courses "General Ecology (and Neoecology)", "Geology with the basics of geomorphology", "Hydrology" and "Soil Science". 2. Orient in the basic ecological, hydrological and geological methods. 3. To be able to organize research of reservoirs in natural conditions.
Course content
The course provides students with basic knowledge about groundwater, their properties and classification, hydrogeological stratification, as well as types of groundwater and the possible consequences of groundwater pollution. At the end of the course students will be introduced to the basic concepts of groundwater dynamics.
