Learning outcomes
PR4. Possess professional knowledge to solve tasks related to the organization and management of horticulture.
PR5. To have at the operational level the methods of observation, description, identification, classification, cultivation of decorative plants and plant garden and park groups, their maintenance decorativeness, stability and stability in the conditions of the complex green zone of the city.
PR7. Possess the skills to work independently and as a leader, to get results under limited conditions time with an emphasis on professional integrity during the cultivation of ornamental plants in open and closed soil, design, creation and operation of horticultural facilities.
PR9. Design and organize measures for the cultivation of decorative planting material tree plants of open and closed soil and form objects of horticulture in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Biology of plants", "Vegetation of the globe", "Occupational safety and life safety during garden and park work", "Forestry", "Dendrology", "Entomology", "Soil science and soil microbiology", " Ethics and aesthetics", "Phytoecology of landscapes".
2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of plant biology, dendrology and other mastered disciplines, perform practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature.
3. To have basic skills of working with plant objects in open ground conditions.
Course content
The educational discipline "Recreational forestry and forest parks" is a selective discipline that forms a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and practical basis of management in recreational forests. Students acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in managing forestry in recreational and health forests, improving their sanitary-hygienic, aesthetic properties, and increasing resistance to recreational loads.
