Learning outcomes
PR1. To analyze the main stages and regularities of historical development for the formation of a civic position, national dignity and patriotism. PR3. Conduct a literature search in Ukrainian and foreign languages ​​and analyze the information received. PR6. Understand and apply legislative acts, regulatory and reference materials, organizational management documentation on the organization and management of horticulture, knowledge of economics and law to ensure effective production activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the course "Introduction to university studies. The history of garden art". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of art history, general concepts of composition, perform practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with graphic materials and equipment used in the creative laboratory. 4. To know the theoretical foundations of urban planning, the basic means of architectural composition, the main methods and techniques of design, as well as modern approaches to the spatial design of settlements. 5. To be able to use compositional techniques to analyze the compositional features of building types in different historical periods, to recognize architectural styles. 6. Have basic skills in working with graphic materials and equipment used in the creative laboratory, as well as a PC.
Course content
The educational discipline "History of architecture and urban planning" forms the theoretical basis of the set of knowledge and skills that form the necessary informative base of the future specialist. The presentation of this discipline involves providing students with a certain system of knowledge about the genesis of architectural forms and urban planning processes, as well as skills and methods of analyzing them structural and compositional features. The main goal of the course is for students to acquire knowledge of the history of world and domestic art, architecture and urban planning, to master the methods of analysis of historical monuments. In accordance with the formulated goal, the most important in the study of this block of disciplines are the determination of the compositional features of certain types of buildings and structures in different historical periods, the identification of patterns of architectural and artistic expressiveness of monuments of architecture and art, the recognition of artistic styles in architecture and art, the determination of the features of the planning of historical settlements cities, stylistic features, compositional, architectural and figurative structure of their buildings, selection of common stylistic features among monuments of different cultures and historical periods.
