Learning outcomes
PR07. Have the skills to work independently and as a leader, to get results in a limited time with an emphasis on professional integrity when growing ornamental plants in open and closed soil, designing, creating and operating horticultural facilities.
PR08. To be able to competently apply the technologies of planting planting material of ornamental plants in open and closed soil.
PR09. To design and organize events for the cultivation of planting material of ornamental woody plants in open and closed soil and to form objects of horticulture in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.
PR10. To design and organize activities for the cultivation of planting material of decorative grass and flower plants in open and closed soil and to form objects of horticulture in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the academic disciplines "Entomology", "Dendrology", "Soil science and soil microbiology", "Biochemistry of plants", "Biology of plants", "Selection of decorative plants with the basics of genetics".
2. The ability to make calculations according to the given formulas and work with card files.
3. To have basic skills of working in open and closed soil conditions.
Course content
The educational discipline "Seeding" is a discipline of the student's free choice, which forms a comprehensive understanding of seeds, formation, ripening, storage of seeds, chemical composition and value, dormancy of seeds and factors of disturbance of dormancy, measures for preparation for sowing; varietal qualities of seeds and yield properties, about the organization of varietal and seed control; about
peculiarities of using seeds as planting material on green construction sites.

Current assessment (current control):
1. Control work 1 with RN 1.1, 2.1 – 30 points/15 points.

3. Evaluation of reports on the implementation of practical work from RN 1.1-3.1 – 30 points/13 points.
4. Two reports with presentations from RN 1.1-3.1 - 12 points/6 points.
