The teaching of this discipline is aimed at the theoretical and practical mastery of the basics of decorative dendrology by students: students get acquainted with the variety of cultivars of woody plants and the use of species and cultivars in landscaping. The course involves familiarization with the expositions of the Botanical Garden. Fomin and the National Botanical Garden. MM. Grishko NAS of Ukraine. The discipline consists of sections devoted to the issues of decorative dendrology: morphological features and decorative properties of woody plants, the main groups of woody plants are considered; Fundamentals of phenological observations of woody plants and methods for assessing their decorativeness.
