Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the course "Genetics" Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of ecology and genetics Ability to independently apply knowledge of genetics, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific literature.
Course content
The discipline of "genetic monitoring" is a basic biological discipline that deals with methods of assessing the emergence and accumulation of genotoxic substances in the environment, namely, studying the spectrum of their mutational effects and the ability to induce genetic disorders. The course aims to acquaint students with the basic methods of biological diagnostics of environmental objects and the basic principles of genetic monitoring and its importance for assessing genetic risks to humans.
