Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "General Cytology", "Histology", "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "Human and Animal Physiology", "Inorganic Chemistry", "Organic Chemistry". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of general cytology, histology, biochemistry, physiology and other disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment, follow safety precautions when working with chemicals used in cytological, cytochemical, histological, hematological laboratories.
Course content
The cycle of laboratory works masters histochemical methods of studying the chemical features of cellular and tissue structures, highlights the relationship between cytochemical and morpho-functional changes of cells in changing their physiological status under normal conditions and pathology, which is the subject of fundamental research by a wide range of cytologists. During laboratory classes students master the methods of analyzing the functional state of organs and tissues to identify their cellular and tissue composition at the macro- and microscopic levels, because histological preparations are widely used in the educational process and research and in clinical practice of doctors, laboratory assistants, pathologists.
