Be able to independently apply knowledge of biological disciplines, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Knowledge of the basic principles of basic biological methods

The discipline is a basic discipline that covers the issues of morphology, bacterial cell structure, growth and reproduction, bacterial genetics, metabolism of aerobic and anaerobic gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The issues of distribution of microorganisms in nature and their geochemical activity are considered. The properties of the main pathogens of infectious diseases, features of epidemiology, pathogenesis, classification and mechanism of action of antibiotics are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the use of human microorganisms in traditional and modern biotechnological processes. The discipline is designed to summarize the ideas about the development of modern microbiology.
