Know and understand the basic terms, concepts, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and at the border of subject areas. PR11. Understand the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level. PR12. Demonstrate knowledge of the structure, life processes and functions of living organisms, understand the mechanisms of regulation of physiological functions to maintain the homeostasis of biological systems. PR16. Know the structure and functions of the immune system, cellular and molecular mechanisms of immune reactions, their regulation, genetic control; types of immunity and methods of assessing the body's immune status.

1. Successful mastering of scientific-theoretical and practical material of academic disciplines taught to students of educational level "Bachelor". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of virology, immunology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, cytology and histology, physiology, etc. 3. To have basic skills of analytical evaluation of research results conducted in the fields of biology and virology to solve a specific scientific and practical problem.

The course is designed to summarize the student's understanding of the causes, conditions and mechanisms of the immune response in various forms of viral infections: the processes of disease and recovery; current trends and directions in the control and prevention of controlled and uncontrolled, emergent infections; mechanisms of changes that occur in the infected organism and the causes of ineffective immune response. The discipline is a basic discipline that covers issues of prevention and control of viral infections. The acquired knowledge can be used both in research of related sciences and in interdisciplinary projects and which require knowledge of this discipline.
