PR03. Plan, execute, analyze data and
to present the results of experimental research
in the field of biology.
PR12. Demonstrate knowledge of structure and processes
vital activities and functions of living organisms, to understand
mechanisms of regulation of physiological functions for
maintenance of homeostasis of biological systems.
PR13. Know the mechanisms of preservation, implementation and
transfer of genetic information and their significance in
evolutionary processes.
PR26. Based on basic knowledge of natural sciences
to form general ideas about regularities

PR29.3. Assess the impact of biotic and abiotic

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successfully master the disciplines "Botany", "General cytology", "Histology",
"Plant physiology", "Methods of experimental plant biology".
2. To be able to apply knowledge of botany, anatomy and physiology of plants, to work with
scientific and methodical literature.
3. Possess elementary skills in the use of information and communication
technologies.
Course content
The course consists of sections on the peculiarities of plant growth and development, their basic patterns and regulation at the cellular, intercellular and organismal levels. The course examines the cellular basis of growth and morphogenesis, the phenomena of photoperiodism and vernalization, the importance of the phytochrome system, regeneration and periodicity of growth, methods of plant reproduction.

- final assessment: Exam.
