PR01. Understand the social and economic consequences of implementing the latest developments in the field of biology in professional activities. PR02. Apply modern information technologies, software and Internet resources for information support of professional activities. PR03. Plan, perform, analyze data and present the results of experimental research in the field of biology. PR05. Demonstrate skills in assessing unpredictable biological problems and thoughtfully choosing ways to solve them PR08. Know and understand the basic terms, concepts, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and at the border of subject areas. PR09. To comply with the provisions of biological ethics, rules of biological safety and biological protection in the process of training and professional activity.

1. Successful mastering of the academic disciplines "Bioorganic Chemistry", "Biochemistry", "Human and Animal Physiology and Anatomy", "Molecular Biology", "Immunology", "General Genetics", "Biotechnology". 2. To be able to independently apply knowledge of biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, etc. discipline, perform laboratory and practical work. 3. Mastering the skills of working with scientific and methodical literature.
Course content
The discipline "Problems of modern biochemistry" studies current issues in various fields of biochemistry, reveals the importance of important biochemical pathways both under physiological conditions and in the development of diseases. He also researches modern problems of medical biochemistry and pharmacology: from the mechanisms of creating new drugs, their use for the treatment of diseases to the effects of drug metabolism in the body.
