Course content
The discipline is a basic genetic discipline that highlights the theoretical foundations of genetic pathologies and methods of their diagnosis. The discipline is designed to highlight the main issues regarding the role of heredity in various forms of human pathology, mechanisms of pathological mutations, as well as diagnostic capabilities of clinical and genealogical analysis, modern methods of molecular and biochemical genetics, cytogenetic analysis. During the course students get acquainted with modern advances in the genetics of ontogenesis, methods of modern diagnosis of genetic and genomic anomalies and diseases.
