PR03. Plan, perform, analyze data and present the results of experimental research in the field of biology.
PR20. Argue the choice of methods, algorithms for planning and conducting field, laboratory, clinical and laboratory research, including mathematical methods and software for research, processing and presentation of results.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the characteristic morpho-biological and ecological features of the main types of invertebrates and chordates.
2. Be able to apply knowledge to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific literature.
3. Have basic skills in using specialized computer programs to present data in text format, search and analyze information in specialized journals and the Internet.
Course content
In classes in this discipline students have the opportunity to obtain the necessary theoretical basis for independent planning and research in the field of zoology and ecology in the context of grant funding, as well as to develop skills of presenting scientific results in detailed written form (course work, thesis, scientific publication). and in the form of written (poster) and oral reports.
The acquired knowledge can be applied both in research of related sciences and in interdisciplinary projects. The discipline "Methods of Zoological Research" is closely related to such fundamental disciplines as zoology and ecology, and contains information of mostly applied nature.
