Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Botany", "Plant Physiology", "Cytology", "General Genetics", "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology".
2. Be able to work with educational and teaching literature, have basic skills in working with professional scientific literature, including English-language publications
3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in the practice of biological research
Course content
The discipline is aimed at obtaining basic professional theoretical knowledge about methods that
are used as routine in the practice of conducting experimental research in the field
plant biology, namely: optical and electron microscopy, cultural methods, methods
chromatography and electrophoresis, which are used in solving basic problems in the field
chemosystematics and evaluations of physiological reactions of plants and fungi under quantitative conditions
experiments, karyological analysis, as well as requirements for identification and presentation techniques
quantitative indicators of experimental research results. Overview during the study
disciplines, some of the latest methods of experimental research are also considered, which, however,
do not belong to the category of basic routine research and require access to specialized ones
laboratories with significant amounts of funding.
