1. Successful mastering of the course Chemistry 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of inorganic and organic chemistry 3. Ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and work in a chemical laboratory
Course content
Bioorganic chemistry is a science that combines biological and organic chemistry and introduces students to the biological functions of organic components of cells and tissues of living organisms. Studies the properties and characteristics of many organic substances that are part of or formed in body tissues. Therefore, studying bioorganic chemistry, the student must pay attention to the chemical structure and properties of proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins and evaluate the contribution of dynamic aspects of enzymatic catalysis, structural characteristics of biological membranes in cell and tissue function.
