Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basics of the disciplines "Discrete Mathematics", "Programming", "Object Oriented Programming".
2. Be able to use information technology and programming languages for solving applied problems and conducting research.
3. Have general skills in designing information models and structures data.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline "Databases and Information Systems" is to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in one of the most relevant areas of information technology today, related to databases and knowledge bases, to get acquainted with basic language models and study some of them in practice.
The discipline "Databases and Information Systems" is part of the educational-professional training program for educational qualification level "Bachelor" in the field of knowledge №11 "Mathematics and Statistics" specialty №113 "Applied Mathematics" educational-scientific program "Applied Mathematics".
This discipline is a compulsory subject in the program "Applied Mathematics". It is taught in the 3rd year in the 5th semester in the amount of 90 hours. (3 ECTS credits).

1. Test work №1 (test): PH 1.1., PH 2.1 - 10 points / 6 points.
2. Test work №2 (problem solving): РН1.3, РН 2.2 - 20 points / 12 points.
3. Test work №3 (problem solving): РН1.2 - 6 points / 3.6 points.
4. Protection of laboratory work (project): РН1.1, РН1.3, РН2.1, РН2.2, РН3.1, РН4.1 - 20 points / 12 points.
5. Execution of tasks assigned to independent work: РН3.1, РН4.1 - 4 points / 2.4 points.
- final assessment (in the form of an exam):
