Learning outcomes
To know and be able to use the basic laws, theories and methods of physics and to apply typical computer techniques to solve physical problems of various types; correctly apply computer techniques, improve them in accordance with specific problems, as well as to be able to find the best techniques needed to solve theoretical and experimental physical problems.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Studying of the discipline "Computer Technology in Physics" begins on the basis of bachelor's degree with an initial explanation of a number of issues and methods of theoretical and applied physics.
Course content
1. Algorithms of interaction of components of the modern computer, standard settings, characteristics of interfaces. 2. Methods of input-output of information in (c) computer (a), characteristics of input-output devices and their use for processing experimental results. 3. Computer oscilloscopes, multimeters, generators, spectrum analyzers. Calculations and modeling of volt-ampere, frequency characteristics of electronic circuits for amplification, generation and processing of signals by software methods (software MultiSim, Origin, Excel, MS Office). 4. Application of computer methods for solving physical problems of spin electronics. 5. Computer modeling of transformations of magnetic inhomogeneities under the influence of various factors with calculations of characteristics of these formations, construction of curves of remagnetization of layered structures by means of power diagrams. 6. Modeling of interaction of optical radiation with magnetic inhomogeneities of substances.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course studies the principles of construction and software capabilities of input-output devices, computer measuring systems, software packages for physical experiment control, methods of using spreadsheets, application packages of scientific graphics for processing measurement results, scanning copies, image recognition, image recognition and editing images, methods of developing schemes, models, systems of computer algebra for solving problems of mathematical physics in numerical and symbolic form, including computer animation and its application in physical research, as well as means of computer preparation of texts of scientific publications and presentations according to the results of scientific research. Teaching theoretical material is a lecture with a parallel consideration of practical examples (tasks) in practical classes and the performance of experimental work on laboratory equipment.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: The study semester has two meaningful modules, which are evaluated up to a maximum of 20 points. Work in the classroom is part of the corresponding module, answers "at the blackboard", homework is a component of the corresponding module. Tests are conducted after completion of the relevant topics. Instead of modular control works, individual tasks can be counted. Final evaluation (in the form of credit): The results of the performance of all experimental and theoretical tasks are summarized, a positive evaluation (credit, minimum 60 points) is given if there is an appropriate total number of points.
