Prerequisites and co-requisites
The thesis is completed at the final stage of study after studying the entire set of educational components of this educational program and is based on the results their mastery. It is especially important to carry out educational components related to the development of practical work skills - a course project and scientific and industrial practice. The implementation of the individual educational trajectory of a higher education student is realized by choosing a thesis topic related to the optional components chosen by the student during the education process.
Course content
Master's thesis is a type of independent creative work of the applicant, performed by him at the last stage of training. The topic of the thesis corresponds topical problems of the specialty "Telecommunications and radio engineering" and is oriented for the purpose of this educational and professional program, i.e. to train a qualified an engineer to perform information protection tasks. When completing a thesis development of radio engineering systems and their components may be carried out; software tools designed to ensure the operation of telecommunication systems; research that ensures the development of the industry, etc.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The topic of the thesis for each student of higher education is formulated and approved by the department before the start of its implementation, it must correspond to the general the direction of the educational program and rely on the specifics of the selective block of disciplines chosen by the applicant. The scientific supervision of the master's thesis is individual. The completion of the thesis is mainly the applicant's independent work, but he has the right to be consulted by the supervisor and (if necessary) by other scientific and pedagogical staff of the department. A fully completed diploma thesis is submitted by the applicant to the department by the deadline, no later than two weeks before the day of the defense at the Examination Board.
Assessment methods and criteria
The master's thesis is provided in printed form, written in the official language. The thesis defense is two-stage. The first stage is preliminary protection on meetings of the department. At this stage, the student of higher education submits a fully prepared work, a review of the scientific supervisor (with an assessment), a review (with an assessment). The second stage is public defense at the meeting of the Examination Commission. Both stages of protection take place according to the same procedure, the basis of which is the report of the acquirer. The department issues a preliminary assessment and allows the work to be defended at the Examination Board. The evaluation of the department, together with the evaluations of the manager and the reviewer, can be taken into account by the Examination Commission, which issues the final evaluation. The master's thesis is evaluated using a point-rating system for evaluating knowledge on a 100-point national scale.
