Learning outcomes
The student must know the principles of organization of search and processing of technical information, classification, purpose, principles of using modern methods of information protection in complex systems, basics of development, manufacture, implementation and operation of hardware means of technical information protection. The student must be able to organize and carry out the search and processing of technical information, design, prepare and carry out engineering development using modern analytical, experimental and computer methods, independently acquire new knowledge, prepare materials for reports and publications.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline requires mastery of the disciplines "Reception and processing of signals", "Fundamentals of information technology security", "Fundamentals of communication security", "Statistical radio engineering" Prerequisites: 1. Have basic knowledge of the subject area of the above disciplines. 2. Understand the purpose and tasks of professional activity in the field of information protection. 3. Possess the skills of searching, processing and analyzing the scientific and engineering-technical information required for work using information and communication technologies.
Course content
The discipline contains materials related to the principles of organizing the search and processing of technical information, engineering design, preparation and conducting research using modern analytical, experimental and computer methods in the field of technical information protection, including in telecommunication networks and systems. Tasks (learning objectives): 1) train specialists who are able to independently study literary sources (including foreign ones), who have the skills to design, prepare and solve complex engineering problems, including those who are familiar with the economic and engineering-technical criteria for preparing and solving such problems; 2) to provide students with knowledge on organizing the search and processing of technical information, designing, preparing and conducting research and engineering development for the needs of technical information protection using modern experimental and computer methods; 3) to trace the relationship between objects of research or development with other components of training; application of knowledge, abilities, skills and communications in professional activities, development of logical and analytical thinking of students.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: during the 3rd semester, 2 reports are provided at seminar classes based on the materials of the literature review on the topic of the master's thesis and on the results of the students' scientific and industrial practice. During the 4th semester, 3 reports are provided at seminar classes based on the results of the master's thesis. A maximum of 60 points can be obtained in each semester. Final evaluation in the form of credit, The form of credit is oral. In total, you can get from 0 to 40 points. A condition for achieving a positive grade for a discipline is obtaining at least 60 points.
