Learning outcomes
The student must know the principles of organizing the search and processing of scientific information, the principles of goal formulation, planning, organization and execution of original scientific research, analysis of received data and formulation of conclusions, classification, purpose, principles of work and use of modern analytical, experimental and computer methods of conducting scientific research, the basis of development, production, implementation and operation of means and systems of technical protection of information. The student must be able to organize and carry out the search and processing of scientific information, formulate a goal, plan, organize and conduct original scientific research using modern analytical, experimental and computer methods, analyze the obtained data and formulate conclusions, independently acquire new knowledge, prepare materials for reports and publications.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline "Scientific seminar by specialty" is a mandatory component of the educational program and is the basis for the free choice disciplines and mandatory components "Assistant practice", "Scientific and industrial practice" and "Master's thesis". Prerequisites: 1. Have basic knowledge of the subject area. 2. Understand the purpose and tasks of professional activity in the field of information protection. 3. Possess the skills of searching, processing and analyzing the scientific and engineering-technical information required for work using information and communication technologies.
Course content
The educational discipline "Scientific seminar by specialty" contains materials related to the principles of organizing the search, processing and analysis of scientific and engineering-technical information using information and communication technologies and is aimed at familiarizing students with the principles of goal formulation, planning, organization and execution of original scientific research , analysis of the received data and formulation of conclusions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: during the semester, an oral report is provided at seminar classes based on the results of the preparation of the literature review on the topic of the master's thesis. A maximum of 100 points is awarded for the oral report (weight factor 0.6). Final evaluation - in the form of credit.: The form of credit is oral. In total, you can get from 0 to 40 points. The credit score cannot be less than 24 points. A condition for achieving a positive grade for a discipline is obtaining at least 60 points
