Learning outcomes
The student should know the definition and properties of adaptive structures, a general description of an adaptive linear adder, properties of a quadratic work function, methods of finding parameters of a work function, gradient search of parameters of a work function by Newton's method and the method of fastest descent, the algorithm of adaptation by the method of least squares, the application of z-transformation in theories of radio technical adaptation, ideal algorithm, sequential regression algorithm, mathematical model of an artificial neuron, basic neural network learning algorithms
The student must be able to calculate the parameters of an adaptive linear adder, determine the values of weighting factors using different adaptation algorithms, determine the values of weighting factors using different adaptation algorithms.

The educational discipline "Adaptive signal processing systems" uses the results of studying the mandatory discipline "Theory of information transmission", as well as "Digital signal processing", "Digital devices", "Fundamentals of automatic control theory", "Digital circuit engineering and electronics", "Fundamentals theories of information transmission", "Reception and processing of signals", which are taught at the "Bachelor's" OP. The educational discipline "Adaptive signal processing systems" is the basis for the block of subjects of free choice. Prerequisites:
1. Know the elements of higher algebra.
2. Know the basics of programming.
3. Know the basic concepts of series and the Fourier integral. Laplace transform. Z-transformation.
4. Have an idea about the stability of digital systems. Stability conditions.
5. Be able to launch and manage application software based on a graphical user interface, find information on the Internet.
Course content
Studying the discipline "Adaptive signal processing systems" allows you to understand the essence of the adaptation process in radio engineering systems during signal processing. The general principles of the adaptive linear adder, the theory of adaptation for stationary signals are considered; gradient methods of adaptation. Special attention is paid to the method of least squares. The application of Z-transformation in the theory of radio engineering adaptation is studied; application of adaptive algorithms in radio engineering; the main provisions of the theory of artificial neural networks.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment.
The academic semester has one meaningful module. After completing the relevant topics, a written modular test is conducted. To determine the level of achievement of learning outcomes, the tasks for the modular control work test the ability to solve specific problems from the theory of adaptive systems. Mandatory for admission to the exam is writing a modular control paper with a score of at least 7 points and giving a presentation at the seminar. Other forms of control are students' performance of independent and laboratory work.
The final assessment will take place in the form of an exam. The form of the exam is written and oral. A total of 0 to 40 points can be obtained for the exams. A condition for achieving a positive grade for a discipline is obtaining at least 60 points, while the exam grade cannot be less than 24 points.
