Learning outcomes
The discipline forms students' knowledge of surface physics and plasma physics; skills to independently work with literature on a topic set by the teacher, to form and present literature reviews and own scientific results obtained during the completion of diploma theses.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline "Seminar on Surface Physics and Plasma Physics" is related to the educational disciplines "Plasma Physics and Plasma Technologies", "Quantum and Semiconductor Electronics", "Surface Physics", "Physics of Condensed Media" which are taught at the Faculty of Radio Physics, Electronics and computer systems in the 4th year of bachelor's and 1st year of master's training.
Course content
The educational discipline "Seminar on surface physics and plasma physics" is a necessary component of forming the professional worldview of a specialist in the specialty "Applied physics and nanomaterials". In it, from a single point of view, the competences and knowledge gained during listening to lecture courses on surface physics and plasma physics are deepened and consolidated.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
During the semester, each student prepares 2 mandatory scientific presentations (the first one is dedicated to the review of literature and modern research methods, the second one is to his own scientific results), the final assessment
Assessment methods and criteria
- Semester assessment. During the semester, each student prepares 2 mandatory scientific presentations, each of which is evaluated at a maximum of 30 points (25 points – content component, 5 points – report level).
- Work in the audience includes questions to the speaker and active participation in discussions and discussions based on the reports. It is estimated at a maximum of 10 points.
- Final evaluation (in the form of credit): The assignment consists of 2 theoretical questions. Each question is evaluated from 0 to 15 points
