Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Student should know: basic laws, equations and relationships of electricity and magnetism, atomic physics, statistical physics, quantum mechanics and relevant sections of the theory of differential equations and theory of probability. Student must be able to: set physical problems, identify practically expedient approaches to their solution
Course content
The main principles and methods of using the laws of quantum mechanics in the field of quantum computing, quantum information and quantum communication are considered. Basic principles of operation of quantum circuits and examples of quantum algorithms, examples of quantum commu-nication systems: quantum teleportation and quantum cryptography are studied. Principles of func-tioning and examples of physical implementation of quantum computers are considered.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching takes place in the form of lectures, it is planned to hold two colloquiums (oral form) dur-ing the semester, students also could prepare presentation on the subject matter.
Assessment methods and criteria
The academic semester divides on three substantive modules: two oral modular colloquiums are held, the student must also prepare a report (in the form of a presentation or essay). The final test is carried out in a combined written and oral mode. The examination ticket consists of 2 questions, the questions are evaluated for 20 points. The condition for achieving a positive grade for the discipline is to obtain at least 60 points, the grade for the exam cannot be less than 24 points.
